The Butler Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit economic development corporation formed to construct speculative buildings made available at affordable rates to emerging businesses and non-profit organizations. BEDC locates projects in blighted and/or deteriorated areas typically rejected by private developers.
Projects
DELLWOOD ROAD MULTI-OCCUPANCY SPEC BUILDING
- In 2008, BEDC purchased a remediated brownfield site of 9.03 acres on which they constructed a multi-occupancy spec building. The project was funded in part by a $1,000,000 PA Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant. The property was sold in October, 2012.
