Butler County Outreach Program
The Duquesne University Chrysler Corp. Small Business Development Center offers both one-on-one and team consulting to identify and address objectives and criteria a small business must meet. The SBDC consultant for the Butler County Region, Cynthia Laurash, provides a no-cost management workshop tailored to fit the needs of small business clients in Butler County.
If you are a start-up business and have no prior business experience, you must initially attend a group "Start-up Essentials Workshop" delivered by the SBDC Consultant each month at the CDC of Butler County.
If you are an existing business, you can schedule a one-on-one appointment with the SBDC Consultant by contacting the CDC of Butler County.
Through meetings with the SBDC consultant, resource materials and written reports, small business owners receive expert and specialized guidance at no charge in such areas as:
- marketing strategy and market research
- taxes
- advertising and sales promotion
- licensing procedures and regulations
- financial planning and cash flow analysis
- personnel recruitment, benefits, and policies
- accounting and basic record keeping
- business organization structuring
- loan proposal preparation
- general business management
