Shearer Road Business Park

The Butler Economic Development Corporation is proposing the remediation and redevelopment of a former fertilizer plant, a 14.8 acre brownfield site located near Pennsylvania Route 422 in Butler Township. The overall project includes remediation and redevelopment of a brownfield site. Project includes infrastructure development, road improvements, excavation, and site development to allow for construction of a multi-occupancy spec building. Depending on the size of the building, there should still be sufficient acreage left to support construction of one more manufacturing building. The site received KOEZ designation in 2001.

The location of the property, just south of Route 422, an important east-west corridor, will be a vital success factor for new and emerging companies who will lease space or choose to build on the other available lots. The addition of the KOEZ designation in 2001 makes Shearer Road Business Park the perfect incubation point for the next generation of Butler County’s fastest growing companies.
